I spent a decent chunk of time working on large-scale monitoring and automation of complex systems/software.

In 2020 I shifted to working on deep learning and artificial intelligence. From 2022 to 2026 I worked on every Azure OpenAI model launch from the pre-ChatGPT days to the GPT-5.5 launch.

My writing has appeared in Science and Ars Technica.

When not working in the AI mines, I can be found puttering around the woods and streams of our little mountain farm with my wife, daughter, and two dogs.
